Prawn Mee Soup
Drove down to Jln Kayu last Sun morning to eat this Hei Mee from previously Blanco Court. Was a trip worthwhile as the prawns were fresh and the soup rich yet not too salty. Nice~

Chanel Pretty
This was one of my more satisfied photo this Christmas, taken during a party for the doggies. The white Pom in Santa wear was Chanel, together with its pretty and loving owner. Both the owner and furkid turned out great to me in this photo.

Leader of the Pack
There was this pack of mongreals homed at the Myco Mushroom Farm that could be seen to be close to one another. And when I was there, they kept even closer together away from me. The leader, clearly seen from this photo, would slowly come towards me to try to figure out what I was up to.
Old Dog Resting
During a visit to the Myco Mushroom Farm at Seletar Farmway today, I saw this big family of mongreals residing in the farm. They were not the least threatening. In fact, they were curious of visitors while scared to approach us at the same time. The pack stayed close to one another and moved together, for protection I guessed. Amongst them was this older one that was least interested in surrounding activities and just rest in a shady corner during the hot morning.
Animal Resort @ Seletar Farmway - Birds
Explored the Seletar Farmway area after breakfast today and went to the Animal Resort. It was a pet retail and grooming place, as well as home to some farm animals. These colourful birds there will definitely catch your attention when you do go there.

Not So Beach Photos
Took some photos when I was at the East Coast Park beach. But instead of the regular "sun, sand and sea" photos, a bull-dozer and the people at the pier drew my attention.
Fish from the Rod
Saw one of the men fishing at the East Coast Beach caught a small Garouper yesterday and quickly took a photo of it with my cam in hand.

Through the Reflection
It doesn't matter whether you are beside, inside or outside, looking outwards or inwards; you can come together through the reflection. See?

Merry Christmas
The festive season is drawing nearer each day. Decorations are put up everywhere to celebrate and bring about a joyous feeling in all. I wish this will be a good one for everyone out there :)

Take a Bow
When I relooked at this photo the title immediately came to my mind. On the left was the female while the male on the right. She was sitting upright until he walked over. Was it a gesture of submissiveness?
Zoo Visited
This trip to the zoo was an enjoyable one. Besides the animals you could see, the whole place was quite nicely done up. I had a good photo-taking experience, and the company was great. Thanks to the guys who organised it! More photos can be found on Milo's Facebook album.
Zoo in Painted Colours - The Ah Mengs
I think we can all agree that a visit to the zoo will never be complete without the "Ah Mengs". Many of them could be seen hanging from the trees near to visitors. In fact, this one at the top was reaching out for some food from me and later started peeing over the walkway. Fortunately noone was near enough to get his golden shower!
Zoo in Painted Colours - The Reptiles
The reptiles at the zoo are quite interesting to see. The chameleons and the giant buaya are my favourites.

Zoo in Painted Colours - The Striped and The Mighty
More Zoo photos, the white tigers, zebras; and then the big hippo and rhino. Strangely, didn't see any normal orange tiger this time round.
Zoo in Painted Colours - Goats
Last weekend went to the Zoo with friends. The last time I went there was a few years ago. But this round was different, I had my DSLR to bring my shots to greater extents. I labelled this series of photos "In Painted Colours" as the photos were given a brush-paint look to compile them into like a Zoo painting collection. Will be slowly posting the photos in a few posts. The first set to start with was taken at the Kid's World where interesting bondings could be seen amongst the goats.
Cat Eyes
This cat was bugging me during dinner tonight with constant meowing, for food and more food. Its intensed eyes could transmit both the look of threat as well as eager. But good thing being a typical Singapore Kucinta, it was merely after nothing more than just food and was easily satisfied with some roast meat bits and fish bones.

HDR Wonder
Just learnt some shortcut trick to HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo on PS through friends and the effect could really be quite amazing. I quite like the outcome this one, taken few months back at Southern Ridges.

Milo
This was one of my favourite shots of Milo taken a few months back that I didn't post here as part of my collection. Was on his blog but thought I will share it here as well.

The Fallen Angel
Haven't been taking photo the last few days so I was looking back at some of the ones taken previously for some post-photography trials. Saw this photo taken at the rooftop of Orchard Central (remember?) and tried to dramatise it with some tricks and wah lah, my attempt at creating a dramatic shot of a floating mesh figurine against a burning sky, like the fall of an angel from above.

Eye Contact
My dog will retreat to one corner when he feels that I'm engrossed in other activities and not paying attention to him. From there, he will be constantly looking over to check if I have realised he's neglected. Oh what a baby.... Well it always work and I will feel so bad and go bring him into my arms. Those eyes, are the same eyes that met mine and melted my heart when I first saw him at the pet shop when he was only 2 months old.
Check out the colour version on his blog.

Handburger
Went to try the Handburger outlet at Raffles City after reading about it in the papers. Took the afternoon sampler of 2 mini burgers, the original and bleu cheese beef, and well was a little disappointed as the beef patties were a little dry for me. Taste-wise they were quite refreshing though as one had something like blueberry jam while the other came with a slice of peach. Had a cup of some champagne tea to go along (although it was served in a coffee cup) which was quite fragrant. Price on the whole was on the high side but perhaps I would go back and try their duck burger, which is supposed to be their signature burger, next time again.

My Christmas Tree
Here's a tribute to my own Christmas tree at home. I actually like it better than some of those put up at the malls this year ;)

Wonderland on Top of Orchard Central
The rooftop garden on Orchard Central is quite a work of genius. Besides flora and water landscaping, the designer had also strategically placed this set of colourful cartoony characters on the second top level, so that one can admire them against the city buildings from the top level. Quite a surreal feeling like a out-of-this-world wonderland in Orchard.
Orchid @ Central
The rooftop garden at Orchard Central is a pleasant place to enjoy a bird's eye view of the street. Saw this beautiful flower on my second visit there today. Looked like some species of orchid I supposed?
Ootoya @ Orchard Central
Had Japanese dinner this evening at Ootoya and was really impressed with the quality of food there. The grilled pork was my favourite. Was impressed that their rice with scallop even came in a wooden container on a burner. Even their green tea tasted good. And price was rather reasonable.

Visual Art - Paper Bears
The underground walkway leading to the Esplanade always has some interesting visual art on display. The current one is on paper bears, displayed on swings, strings, platforms and even with colourful gummi bears. I particularly liked these 2 that were simpler and the lightings also helped to cast beautiful shadows to accentuate them.
Lion Companion
I was walking around Little India today and came upon this shop that was selling furniture and home furnishings. The life-size bronze lion status outside the shop caught my attention at first instance. Next to it sat this old indian man who looked like the owner of shop. He was the only person at the shop then, accompanied by his lion companion.

Starry X'mas
Take a walk into the Christmas tree (yes into it!) at Orchard ION and you will be dazzled by the beautiful lights and shimmering decors from within. It felt like walking into some magical universe of stars.
Up the Central Stairs
Visited the Orchard Central again in search for my photography subjects. The main entrance to the building was a long flight of escalator, leading directly to the 3rd level, lit with dramatic colours that made it seem like the way up into the core of a burning volcano. Going all the way up to the roof garden, there was this wire mesh sculpture of a person climbing up a flight of steps leading towards the sky. This felt like the stairs to heaven; while the former would be the stairs to hell? ;)

ION, Light & Water
In front of the Orchard ION is an open-area water-and-light fountain where children just loved to dance and play in it. At night the scene looked so magical when the children play with the colourful water sprouts.
