Hippopotamus Restaurant Grill

Surprisingly, this was a french grill restaurant, located at the basement of Marina Square, for wine and dine. Its prices were actually quite reasonable and portion of food rather large. I would commend on their steaks that were grilled to perfection, just as its name suggested; although the skewer appetitiser and some of their desserts could be better.

Macaws @ Dempsey

These colourful macaws always caught my eyes whenever I visit Dempsey Hill when they were let out in the open area for public viewing. Impressing the viewers with their brilliant colours, they were not the least afraid when human approached within close distance, but be prepared for loud crows in defense when you get too close for their comfort.

Culina @ Dempsey Hill - 1

After having dined at Culina once, I knew I would be back again soon for more of their cuisine, especially their fresh succulent spread of oysters. Dining by their window seats would be the best corner to enjoy their food while people-watching, or being people-watched.

Culina @ Dempsey Hill - 2

Besides the oysters, their chef special's Sirloin set and beef stew were exception too, especially the latter that was so tender full of flavour that even made the mash potato taste so good. Culina remained at the top spot of my list for quality food.

Nagomiya Japanese Dining

Located at Chip Bee Gardens, this is another Japanese charcoal grill. The food was good as how charcoal grill would be, but I thought its price was on the high side considering the small portions of the ala carte menu. Comparatively, I would prefer Tajimaya at Vivo City for similar type of food.

Amongst the Green

Some colours amongst the green. A prelude to my post below when all's green.

Go Green @ Quan Fa Organic Farm

Visited a farm by a friend in September and attended a day of enriching class on vegetables.
